A Ghost Story

Josh, a 7 year old boy, had moved to a new town where his grandparents used to live before they both had passed, and his mother inherited the family mansion that had been passed onto her by her father. This mansion had been passed on through generation after generation, so it was very old.
When they first arrived, Josh was skeptical of the house, and felt that every time he turned around there was going to be someone behind him. He decided to give the house a chance, but still slept with his bedroom door cracked so some light could shine through. He done this for about the first month or so, but then Josh started hearing noises in the mansion's attic.
The noises that Josh was hearing were like big thumps or bangs, and it would only be in the darkest of the night that these sounds would come around. Josh repeatedly told his mom and dad about the noises telling them that it kept waking him up at night, but his mother kept telling him that there was nothing up there and that he is not to go up there and search. She said that she was never allowed in the attic so neither was he, or his father. As far as Josh knew, nobody had ever been up there.
The noises continued over the years until one night, Josh heard one of the loudest thumps out of them all, and decided he was going to go check it out. He slowly walked towards the attic door, and when he started to turn the knob he pulled his hand back really fast because it was making such a loud, rusty noise and he was afriad he was going to wake his parents.
Then, the door opens. Josh turns his head to make sure his parents didn't wake up, and heads up the stairs with a flashlight that his father had given to him a few years back. Josh was so freaked out, but crept up the staircase anyways. He gets to the top and BOOM!!!! The door slams shut, Josh's mind is racing "What should I do?!?"
He shines his flashlight around and sees a little boy crouched down in the corner, an he says, "Who are you?" Josh replies with, "I'm Josh, who are you?" "I'm Abraham, I've been up here forever and can't find my way out." Well Josh tells the little boy that he could help him, even though in his mind he didn't know if this was actually happening or if he was just dreaming because it was so surreal. The little boy thanks Josh and picks up his doll and follows Josh down the staircase.
When they get to the bottom of the stairs Josh realizes that the little boy is gone and the door won't open, but he sees Abraham's doll at the top of the stairs. He walks up there and gets the doll.
Suddenly, he found himself sitting on the floor with his arms wrapped around his knees and now awaits for the next little boy to come up and ask, "Who are you?" and he'll say, "I'm Abraham."
