I usually like to light a black birthday candle as a filter for bad energy particularly when I am lighting other candles or with spell's...
I have packed away somewhere in the myriad of boxes, my candles except for a few white ones and a few colors of birthday candles which I brought here prior to moving....
So I had used all the black ones....
I have packed away some black tea lights, which burn too long to accompany another spell.
But will be spell worthy themselves or to negate bad energy as a spell...
They are also packed away....
Went to Walmart to get some black birthday candles and it seems as thought they are discontinued....
Ugh....
Was told that party city has them in bulk...
Tried there and no luck..
hmmmm....
Next best thing will be black chimes....
Oh at Halloween time, Walmart sells black and orange tea lights 8 for a buck...
And Michaels has giant tea lights in an assortment of colors...
To go on sale at the end of each season...
I know you guys usually stick to chimes for spell's,; if you just try the virthday ones(for very quick spell's, and tea lights for long burning spell's...
You may like them...

I think the black chimes you are talking about are the same size as the spell candles that I use. I really like that size of candle. It is hard to get organized after a move. You don't know where anything is. Good luck finding everything.

I like the small spell candles, they don't drip. as it usually doesn't take long for then to burn down. I get them in bulk at amazon, I have a small chest full of candles, I like the small tea lights, that what I light every night for my loves ones that have passed. I buy them by the 100s at Wal-Mart. (usually white)

That's what I have is a big batch of the white tea lights, and I get the 4 pack votives at the holidays from the inlaw.... but I also just bought off of ebay some green tapered ones and purple....about 8' tall? Haven't used them yet but I want to as soon as I decide what to burn them on/in... I need to come up with a excuse to buy the small birthday candles wonder if I can get hubby to fall for it?

Yup, chime are what I think the Buddhist people call spell candles....
I like the black birthday candles to burn off a little bad energy along side the candle or other spell I am doing...
They come 24 for a buck...
Chimes are about 15 cents a piece around here....
I am going to call party city.....
Money is very slender like a taper candle...lol

Those are the ones that I like. I really like the stars on the box that they come in. It makes them more witchy looking. I have an old curling iron box that I use to keep my rainbow of spell candles in. They fit in the box perfectly. Okay, just a little obsessive. I love my Candle Magick.

I have all kinds, and a small trunk to keep them in, you open that trunk and it smells so good. I also keep my Tarot bags in there. (so they smell good)
