Sorry to hear about your little friend, I used to have a green one, he died because the person looking after him fed him gravel instead of seed. The poor little sucker died of starvation. Mine was a great talker, did yours talk?

Ive had him for years, Becky took him when I thought I was moving, and then she got that little kitten (which is hell on wheels) and id told her to bring him back home, but the cat finally knocked the cage over and got to him. very sad!!!!

Birds are cool in their own funny little ways. My boss had a cockatoo, we worked in a law office, the Cockatoo was paper trained. The office was wall to wall papers.

Oh Hell No, Went to have an eye examination today and found out I have beginning Gloucoma and Cataracs, I have to go to an eye specialist now. I'm not a happy camper at the moment.

Oh Honey I'm so sorry, but glad its not macular degeneration, which causes blindness. Still not good, I take eye vitamins, the specialist told Mom to take, I rarely go to the eye Dr. I only need reading glasses, but Mom wanted me to get checked for Macular, so I went and the Dr. said it wouldn't hurt to take the vitamins, can only help, they are OTC and a little expensive, but totally worth it if it means I wont get MD like Mom (who can not see anything in a dark room) they are called PerserVision by Bausch & Lomb. Her eye specialist said they were the best to keep it under control and slow the progression.
Did your eye Dr. tell you, you should take vitamins?? you should they cant hurt anyway, only help and maybe slow it down.
My Sister has Glaucoma, has had it for years. Its fighting to think you could loose your site.
I'm so glad you went to the eye Dr. get a leg up on this!!!

I have got a friend who is 92 and was diagnosed with glaucoma a very long time ago.....
She kept up with treatments and glasses for a number of years.....
And hasn't in a few years now....
One day she was riding in my car and looked over at me and said , oh what is that on your face.
I said where...
She looked a tiny bit closer and said you have hair over your lip....
Now mind you a
I am a bit hairy, but instead of removing any facial hair I bleach it almost white to camouflage it....
How did you see that I asked her?
She said her vision problems have diminished....
I'm not sure but I do believe she had cataract surgery some years ago....
But bottom line, no glasses, no more drops no nothing....
And I want to get glasses again because I just want to....
But I've not worn prescription glasses in about 7 years....
And rarely wear reading glasses as of the last year or two....
So, while I know modern medicine is good for many reasons, I take it with a grain of salt.
I get eye exams less frequently....
Had an exam over a year ago, and prescription had not changed since 7 years ago....
And I know a man who started refocusing his eyes to see better...
He used to squint...Then he didn't anymore....
I e never heard of the glasses industry lessening your prescription....
The medical industry perpetuates dependence on eye meds, and glasses....
But you have got to do what you feel is best...
Since you are having very minimal signs, you may want to look into exercises, and other natural ways to keep your eyes healthy...
And surprise your doctor with improvement....
They do not look for improvement...
We can though....

I use to wear glasses, was near sided, then lost them in the river, stopped wearing them, then got another pair which strained my eyes, so I just stopped wearing them, and now I see almost 20/20 the eye Dr. said I did not need anything but readers. So my eyes got better, they were forced to focus. So yea that can happen. (I would squint too)

My Sister has Glaucoma (did I say that already) has had it for years, but she can still see. (I need to look that up)

I just hope they can slow it down and keep it under control.
