Spell a day...

Postby Madame Marigold » Mon Jan 27, 2020 7:23 pm

On Orbis De Sancta Silva sight (since I am only one there!) I have been meaning to try and bring over a spell a day.. (On occasions there is not one for a particular day but..) so, here is todays!

January 27th

Love's Sonata

Today is the birthday of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791), one of the greatest composers of piano music that ever blessed this earth. A great piano sonata is like a relationship; when all the pieces fit together synchronistic ally, it is a thing of indescribable beauty.

For this spell, you will need a piece of sheet music for a Mozart piano piece if you play, or a recording of Mozart's piano music if you don't, and a picture of your loved one.
(Or any song that has a meaning for you?)

Begin by putting the picture of your loved one on the piano next to the sheet music if you're going to play the piece, or on a shelf or stand near your stereo if you're using a recording. Focus on this picture, and as you find yourself moving into it, imagine yourself diffusing like a cloud, becoming one with everything around you, including the picture of your loved one. As you reach this diffused state of mind, say:

Each note of this sonata. I dedicate to you

An expression of my love, that I feel each day through.

Afterward, play the piece while expressing and visualizing the love you feel for your beloved. Feel each note become an expression of your love. When the musical piece concludes, say as a finale:

So be it!

slapping hand to forehead need to change that don't I? UGHHH  SPELL!!!! SPELLS more, more, SPELLS! ok her we go:

The Nest Egg Prosperity Spell

You'll need:

* an egg

* a piece of paper

* powdered/ground parsley

* a candle (preferably green)

STEP 1: Light the candle.

STEP 2: On the piece of paper write the amount or type of prosperity you need. Make sure to not let greed factor in to your decision.

STEP 3: Carefully take off the top of the egg shell without breaking it. Be very careful. It may take a bit of practice.

STEP 4: Empty/clean out the egg.

STEP 5: Place your piece of paper inside.

STEP 6: Use some candle wax from the candle to seal the egg back together with your paper safely inside.

STEP 7: Bury the egg in the Earth, in your front yard, preferably.

And get ready for the prosperity to flow.

Yes, it can be a bit tricky to take off the top of the egg shell without breaking it. Just be careful. One way is to poke a needle through the egg over and over, around the very top.

And just remember... the "Let Wealth Bloom" spell will attract prosperity right in through the door you just opened. <3

AND the one for TODAY! (totally off kilter here)

Abraham Lincoln's Come Together Potion

Before becoming president, Abraham Lincoln gave a speech in which he said "A house divided cannot stand." Relationships and love are the same way - if you let differences and problems escalate, then you will ultimately find yourself in a state of conflict and war. The idea behind this technique is to bring your house divided back together.

For this potion, you will need a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a scoop of chocolate ice cream, milk, and a blender.

Begin by placing the scoop of vanilla in the blender, then the scoop of chocolate. Add the milk. As you turn on the blender, say,

White and black come together as one, :et it be so when the shake is done,

Feelings of love replace feelings of hate,

A love coming together is what we create.

Finish by enjoying the milkshake, preferably with the person with whom you have been in conflict. As you sip the sweet, thick shake, imagine the two of you coming together in agreement, and feelings of love replacing all negative ones.

(Musta used a butter churn cause I am sure dear old Abraham didn't have a BLENDER!!!) but it does sound good tho right? ( I def need it for son and gal pal ) stupid horn dog. sighs off to HELL NO thread

Have gathered 4 small'ish? Jars to do honey jars with one for each: Tristan, China, Aaron and Stormy. Made some small twist tie da&&it dolls (small red bead for China) need to "name" them with blessed oil and candle before I add them in to the syrup I had already added. Then I will add small pieces of Rose Quartz (love), Obsidian (grounding), Amethyst (healing), lapis lazuli, pyrite and clear quartz... and maybe some other smaller (varied) chips as well. Also still need to fill out my pieces of paper with the intentions for each (person) jar. Hope to have them all ready to sit with small pink candles on top for 30 minutes apiece later this afternoon? (paws crossed)

Started with syrup right away cause it is the fastest one to get it moving but will add sugar tomorrow then touches of honey and sorghum after that (long lasting, timeless) Making note on my calendar! Lets get this part started!!!!!

March 04th

An Aquamarine Spell
The Aquamarine is a clear light blue, sometimes blue-green stone. It is a stone of the Moon and is linked to peace, purification. love, water and psychic powers.
When you and your loved one are to be parted for a while take 2 Aquamarines and place them in sea water (or water with a little sea salt added) overnight in the light of the Moon, of possible when it is full. In the morning remove the stones and wrap each one in a pale blue cloth. Each of you should then dip a finger in the water and anoint the other on the forehead, eyelids. lips and over the heart. Each should keep their stone about them during the day and place it beneath their pillow at night, until they are reunited.
An Aquamarine can be placed in the bath to cleanse and purify before magical working, or can be rubbed over the body for the same effect. If worn it will increase psychic powers and holding the stone during mediation will also help unlock the subconscious. A tincture to enhance psychic power can be made by standing the stone in spring water for the three nights of the Full Moon; this can then be sipped during acts of divination.
The Aquamarine is also carried to heal emotional problems and to ensure safe travel over water. Aquamarines are often exchanged by couples as they marry to smooth the path of true love and to promote happiness and well being in the relationship.

Crystal Divination
For this spell you will need 9 colored crystals or stones of roughly the same shape and size and a soft cloth bag large enough to get your hand into. If you cannot find or afford crystals, use colored pebbles, or paint pebble in the appropriate colors.
When you have a question, shake the bag and draw out a stone, and see if this provides your answer. If things are still unclear you may draw up to 2 more stones to help you clarify things. If you still do not have an answer, consider rephrasing your question. Sometimes you still will not have a answer, in which case take the stones you have pulled from the bag and sleep with them under your pillow, together with a slip of paper with the question written on it. Here are some suggested stones and interpretations:
Red: Red Jasper, Carnelian. Anger, conflict, aggression, passion, lust energy.
Pink. Rose quartz, pink Tourmaline. Love, romance, friendship, relationships, self-respect.
Orange: Amber, Citrine. Power, growth, success, joy, the God.
Yellow. Tiger's Eye, yellow Calcite. Thought, intellect, communication, creativity, self-control.
Green. Aventurine, Malachite. Growth, fertility, work, money, messages, news.
Blue. Sodalite, Lapis Lazuli. Truth, wisdom, excess emotion, travel, the sea.
Purple. Amethyst, Sugilite. Healing, peace, tranquility, rest.
Black. Obsidian, black Onyx. Concealment, silence, lies, the unknown.
White. Moonstone, white Chalcedony. Spirituality, psychism, dreams, the Goddess.

March 20th

Spring Equinox Rite
(a little late but sorry for the delay!)

The Spring Equinox, when day and night are equal in length, is a time of balance.
Also known as Oestara it is the festival of Eostre or Ostara, the Anglo-Saxon Goddess of Spring. This is an excellent time for some personal 'spring cleaning', a time to be rid of the bad and encourage the good into your life.
Prepare by making two lists of 9 items each. The first should be things which you would like to be rid of. The first 3 are personal, perhaps bad habits; the next 3 affect your interaction with others, eg old resentments or guilt; and the final three affect the land, eg, the loss of young life to cars on the road. Make a second list of 9, again in 3 parts, of things you would like to bring, maybe a new job for yourself, more patience in your dealing with others and the plentiful growth of crops.
Light a black candle and read the first list aloud three times. Burn the paper and ask the Goddess and the God to take these things form you. Visualize these negatives burning in the flames and being carried away in the smoke. When the paper has completely burnt, put the candle out. Now light a white candle and read aloud, three times, the list of things you would like to bring into your life. Burnt he paper and ask the Goddess and the God to bring these things to you. Visualize your wishes being carried to the Gods in the smoke. Let this candle burn all the way down.
"Give your energy to positive thoughts, let negative fade and pass from you."

Amulets, Charms, Talismans, Incantations and Spells
If you consult an everyday dictionary these will all appear to have very similar definitions; however, in the Craft they are distinctly, if subtly, different.
A Talisman is usually a paper-based spell. It may be carried on the person, in the pocket or wallet, or placed in a special place. It will include pictures or symbols to signify its purpose.
An Amulet is an object which is worn or carried. It may, or may not, have been empowered to promote its natural or inherent properties. Pieces of jewelry are frequently used as amulets.
A Charm is usually more than one object, put together to create a 'carry-able' spell. Usually these are contained in a cloth bag, pouch, or the like. Again it is worn or carried. People sometimes use the word Charm when they mean Incantation, which is a number of words, frequently rhyming, used as a spell to focus and concentrate the energy put in by the practitioner.
A Chant is a verse, or verses, which are repeated regularly and rhythmically to raise energy which is to be used in magical working.
A Spell is a specific piece of magickal working to solve a particular problem. While it may involve the creation of one of the above, it might only involve the lighting of a candle or even just the direction of the energy of thought.

Lakes, Ponds, Streams and Rivers
Water is one of the five Elements, which are so important to the Craft. Wells, ponds, lakes, springs, streams and rivers were extremely important to our forebears, being seen as gateways to the otherworld: places of energy and power; sources of help and assistance and homes of the Goddess.
As in the story of Excalibur, they could be places where mortals met with those of the other realm. There are several water motifs through the mythology of the Craft. It was thought that a Witch could never cross running water, although it's never stopped any Witch I know! Also, an 'evil spirit' could not follow over running water, and there are good reasons why anything that tracks using scent or prints will lose its prey if they pass through a stream. In the Craft we often use running water to cleanse objects prior to use, and we know the 'natural waters' are definitely more magical than the stuff we get through our taps.
On the domestic side, if you have a pond this is the time to generally make all clean and tidy for a new season of growth. If you haven't done so already, it could be time to think about having the Element of Water in your home or garden. Even if you live in the tiniest flat you can still have a 'water' garden: Fill an opaque vessel with clean stones and rainwater. Add cuttings of easy-to-grow plants, and a few shells or gemstones.
"Listen to the sounds of the Elements for this is the music of the land."

Malachite
Malachite is a beautiful, deep-green stone, sometimes with bands of darker greens and blacks.
A stone of Venus, it has properties of protection, love, business success and drawing money. Malachite was thought to warn of impending danger, by spontaneously breaking with it was near. A round flat piece of malachite with a gold Sun painted on it was thought to bring great fortune if worn over the heart.
Malachite is a protective stone. It is carried by travelers, particularly on journeys over rough ground. Malachite bead necklaces are often given to children, or placed around their beds to protect them from negativity.
Worn next to the skin near the heart, Malachite improves your ability to love and draws love towards you. If worn together with Rose Quartz it helps to enhance self-respect and self-confidence. It is also used to dispel depressions: lie down and smooth a piece of Malachite in circles on your forehead, or better still get someone else to do it for you.
For success in business place a piece of Malachite in the till to bring sales, or place a piece under the entrance to the business to bring customers. It also enhances business skills, so wear it whenever you need to negotiate any kind of agreement. In this respect it can be added to spells to resolve arguments. Place Malachite on the Altar to increase the power of spells for success in love and business.
