Dragons blood ink

Well as sort of a side project I decided some weeks ago to make ink....
I. Ground the dragons blood and decided to try hand sanitizer to dissolve it in....
Thinking that the gummies would help the balancing of the powder....
Well the gooeyness combined with the dragons blood and settled to the bottom and left a very light red liquid at the top...
So finally a couple weeks ago I got gum Arabic and rubbing alcohol and it seems to have worked....
The ink is stable in that it did not separate much....
It just looks a bit transparent....
A nice color though....
Have been looking for an appropriate quill....
There had been white feathers all over the back yard a couple of times....
Seems that a cat or something may have gotten hold of a bird more than once...
I had put the feathers in a knobby hole in a tree out back...
The wind had blown them out or somehow they were not there....
I would like to get a fountain pen with cartridges like we had when I was in elementary school...
I was told to puncture the cartridge with a syringe, extract the ink....
Flush with a syringe of bleach or soap...
Extract that then inject with the ink I made....
Or I could write with a paint brush....
I started this post because I am trying to decide whether to add more dragons blood and Arabic gum to see if I get a more opaque color....
I looked online...
I'm thinking it is about preference...
So I will just have to Rey it on paper....
Looking for ideas for other inks....
Thinking of blue berries....
But what of the magickal significance I do not know...

Sounds like you made yourself a project. I would just buy the ink from a witchy store. Actually, I have never seen it at my store that I go to, but they probably have it. I have a gel pen that writes nice and smoothly. I use that for writing in my BOS. I'm picky about my pens. You also have to consider your paper when using ink. You don't want it to bleed through to the other side.

I have a pen but it's not smooth, you will have to let me know where you got that. I don't know if they make Dragons Blood ink :?

It is just a Bic Gelocity pen in Black, Get them at any stationary shop. It writes very smoothly without having to press hard. I'm always buying pens, I write a lot. I even have the old fashioned dip pens.
I have seen Dragon's Blood Ink and Dove's Blood ink in on-line witchy stores. I always thought I would like some.
